While Suzuki is an automobile giant, Toshiba is a conglomerate in providing diverse services in information technology, communications equipment, and system. Denso is a leader when it comes to supplying advanced automotive technology, systems, and components for major automakers.

According to a confirmed report from a state government official, Suzuki will be leading the partnership and the investment will be divided in the proportion of 50:40:10 between Suzuki, Toshiba, and Denso.

The proposed investment by the Suzuki-led consortium is in addition to Suzuki’s current and future investment in its hybrid car plants. Suzuki has invested more than Rs 8,000 crore in its Gujarat plant so far.
