Tata Motors Unveils Battery Specifications For Nexon EV

The EV variant of Nexon will launch with more than 30 connected car technologies
Tata Motors has revealed a few more details regarding the upcoming Nexon EV, ahead of its official launch, which is expected to take place in the year 2020. The fresh detail reveals that the battery pack will be offered in a segment-first eight-year warranty, which is impressive when compared to others.
The battery pack is protected by an IP67 level compatible system and will be liquid-cooled. It will also be compatible with all fast-charging systems. While the capacity of battery pack is yet to be revealed, Tata said that the driving range will be around 300kms. It has also revealed that the vehicle will feature a permanent magnet AC motor and will come with a front-wheel-drive system.
According to Tata Motors, the EV variant of Nexon will launch with more than 30 connected car technologies. It will also get car monitoring systems and a series of location-based services. The car comes underpinned with Tata Motor’s new Ziptron technology.
