Valmet Automotive Company Inaugurates EV Battery Kit Production In Salo

After the production start, the volumes will be gradually increased until the planned production level is reached early next year

Automaker Valmet Automobile has recently started the production of EV battery pack in its new manufacturing hub in Salo, Finland. The brand stated in a release that the battery factory project has grown on the plan, and with the increase of stock volumes, it will continue hiring more employees to the factory located in Salo.

CEO of Valmet Automotive, Olaf Bongwald, said "The Salo battery plant project is a prime example of Valmet Automotive’s ability to respond quickly and efficiently to customer needs. It also demonstrates our strong commitment to a strategy that focuses on the future electric mobility." In addition to that, Valmet Automotive has conversed  a recent cell phone manufacturing factory completely in Salo to satisfy the necessities of high-volume EV battery pack production.

The project includes building of production lines and constructing new plants for logistics. Moreover, the project has grown in pace since the work started in May 2019. According to the company, "After the production start, the volumes will be gradually increased until the planned production level is reached early next year."

Valmet Automotive said in a statement that as the production in the plants starts to rise, the number of employees is anticipated to hit over 300 by the succeeding year.
